- Blue nitrile gloves are landfill, never recycling or compost. Same for any soiled glove or wiper.
Start of shift
- Confirm all three streams have a clean, lined, correctly labeled container at every station
- Check signage is present, legible, and at eye level
- Restock liners in the correct colors
During shift
- Sort at the source; never consolidate two streams into one bag
- Pull obvious contamination out of recycling and compost as you go
- Keep compost caddies covered and emptied before they overflow
- Blue nitrile gloves, soiled wipers, and PPE go to landfill
End of shift
- Walk all bins; photograph any contamination found
- Move full containers to the enclosure in the correct position for pickup
- Wipe down and re-line all stations
- Log anything unusual in the tracking log and tell the Operations Lead
Sign off
- Shift date and time
- Staff name and signature
- Supervisor review
